Five Hair Trends for Spring 2015 by David Rozman Salon

22nd April 2018

BOHO WAVES Carefree, barely-there waves cascaded onto sheer dresses, pastels and floral prints at Marchesa, Chloé, Valentino and more for a free-spirited, bohemian moment. Let hair dry naturally for a touch of flyaway movement, or if you've got poker straight locks tong sections at random and brush out to create loose waves. Hair Products chosen by David Rozman to achieve this look, Alterna Bamboo Beach summer ocean waves, and Alterna Caviar Perfect Texture Finishing Spray.

PONYTAILS Ponytails went from high and sleek at Oscar de la Renta to looser and lower at Gucci and Jason Wu to practically falling out at Rag & Bone. Wear yours tied loosely at the nape of your neck with a colour matched elastic or slick and glossy for an evening look. Hair Products chosen by David Rozman to achieve this look, Alterna Bamboo texturising body boost, lightly dusted through the root area then gently pulled back with your hands trying to keep a disheveled feel. To finish use Alterna Caviar working hair spray. BRAIDS & TWISTS From twisted rope braids at Donna Karan and cornrowed buns at Giorgio Armani to messy, classic plaits at Michael Kors, there's a braid for every skill level. For an evening braided look section off the hair into three or four parts from the front of your head and loosely plait back into an undone up-do. Hair Products chosen by David Rozman to achieve this look, Redken Braid Aid, this enables you to create amazing Braid and Twists styles. BIG BUNS At Altuzarra, the buns were shaped into soft hearts, while at Carolina Herrera, models wore graphic, Japanese-inspired "sumo knots." Others, like the ones at Edun and Erin Fetherston, were full and classic. This season's up-dos are all about twists so pull hair into a high bun or create a series of smaller twists down the centre of your head for a bolder style. BOMBSHELL BLOWOUTS Big, sleek blowouts and bouncy curls, as seen at Diane von Furstenberg, referenced the ultimate sex symbol—Brigitte Bardot—and were the result of setting the hair in lots and lots of rollers. Start with damp hair and loosely dry it. Once your hair is nearly dry, start working with three inch sections; starting at the top and then pulling them outward with a round brush as you sweep the dryer nozzle over the full length of the section. You can boost the volume by wrapping sections of your hair around Velcro rollers. Make sure that you leave the biggest rollers for the crown for enhanced volume. Hair Products chosen by David Rozman to achieve this look, apply Alterna Bamboo strand expand mixed with Alterna Bamboo flexible control gel to the mid-lengths and ends. At the root area we also apply Alterna Bamboo uplifting root blast for extra support, this can be applied when wet and also once again prior to winding in the Velcro rollers.
